Rainy Sunday

We had to pull out the big dogs on Sunday afternoon. We went to Church ( One and half hour mass-I needed to have a beer when we got home from my stress level of trying to keep 2 boys relatively good during mass), had lunch, took naps, and then it was game on. Nick quote of the day was "what do you do when there is no sports on and it is raining?" I hate when basketball season is over! So I decided to do a "new" activity for the afternoon. We got out cars, bugs, cookie sheets/baking pans, shaving cream, and oatmeal. Braden had so much fun exploring with the shaving cream. We then added the animals, and then cars, and then plastic containers (mountains), and then some oatmeal (snow). He had it dripping off the tips of his toes, on the walls, in his hair, and just about every where one would think shaving cream could never get! We are working on Blake and his sensory exploration. He loves to explore but when it is on his terms and he loves to eat with his hands. We started him out with shaving cream, but one finger in and he was all done. We switched him to oatmeal and that was a bigger hit!
